As a follow-up to some of the professional development questions I have answered, I thought I would post this interesting item. While this fellowship does not have a monetary reward, my sources tell me it is excellent for building contacts and beefing up your resume.
“PSA’s Congressional Fellowship Program is aimed at providing young Congressional staffers with the skills and relationships necessary to foster true bipartisan understanding and cooperation on Capitol Hill. Over the course of the program, staffers have the opportunity to build their professional skill set, hold substantive discussions with high-ranking officials, and form strong personal relationships with staffers from both the House and Senate. By investing in emerging leaders from both sides of the aisle, PSA hopes to reduce destructive partisanship in the foreign policy decision-making process long into the future.”
