Military Legislative Assistant – A Republican Member of the House Armed Service Committee and Veterans’ Affairs Committee seeks a Military Legislative Assistant to handle his military and veterans’ affairs portfolio.  Primary responsibilities include preparing member for committee hearings/briefings/mark-ups and floor activities, developing and managing legislative initiatives, tracking legislation, constituent correspondence, and representing the Member in meetings with interested parties.  Candidate must be a team player and a self-starter willing to work in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates must have prior experience as a military legislative assistant and/or military service.  Colorado ties a plus.  Applicant Instructions:  Please e-mail resume, references and cover letter to Kristine.Michalson@mail.house.gov.

Spring Interns – Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) is looking for spring interns for his Washington DC office.  Applicants should possess conservative values, be personable, and have strong writing skills.  Duties include administrative tasks, attending hearings, leading capitol tours for constituents, and helping legislative staff with research on important projects. There will also be an opportunity to work on issues that interest him or her.  Position is great for Capitol Hill experience.  Start and end dates are negotiable but preferably December start dates. Internship – Congressman Roscoe Bartlett’s Frederick District Office is currently seeking internship applicants with a good work ethic to start immediately for the fall semester.  This internship provides an opportunity to observe and interact with the inner-workings of a Congressional office, as well as provide learning opportunities though assisting office staff with various duties and projects.  Interested parties should send a resume, cover letter, references, and a writing sample to Ashley.Collier@mail.house.gov.  Frederick ties preferred but not required.
