The data and targeting department makes decisions about which voters are likely to be engaged on environmental issues, and maintains voter file information that permits the organization to educate the public and motivate supporters to become active civic participants in an efficient manner.
* Specific (Essential) Responsibilities:
The Data and Targeting Associate is instrumental to this process. On a daily basis, s/he will:
* serve as the first point of contact for state league partner organizations with questions about voter files and targeting
* assist state league partners in establishing program and targeting goals, including identifying and coordinating opportunities for program data analysis
* manage state league data requests, and aggressively collect and organize data from state league partners
* organize and schedule data, targeting, and statistical training for partners
* clean data and prepare lists for the database(s)
* pool, merge, dedupe and enhance membership lists of environmental organizations for list enhancement
* help create charts and graphs in order to aid in data visualization
* maintain records describing the quality, and quantity of data the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund has available

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a college degree and at least 1 year related experience, ideally working with voter files. S/he should demonstrate strong Excel and database query skills and knowledge of voter and activist targeting. The position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and assess deadlines and priorities. Ability to proofread spreadsheets and check data integrity is a must. The Data and Targeting Associate will be expected to remotely with colleagues. Position Summary:
