5th Biennial Congressional Football Game for Charity

Description: Presented to you by Boeing and NFL, the Congressional Football Game for Charity is back for more action this year!

Benefitting the Capitol Police Memorial Fund and Our Military Kids non-profit organizations, the 5th edition of this gridiron showdown between Members of Congress led by Representatives Jon Runyan (NJ-03), Heath Shuler (NC-11) and Bill Shuster (PA-09) against the Capitol Police flag football squad is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at RFK Stadium.

While both teams play hard to win, the ultimate winners are the charities for which we are playing — the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, providing assistance to families of their fallen and Our Military Kids, providing grants to children of deployed National Guard and Reserve personnel as well as to children of severely injured service members to cover the costs for enrichment activities and tutoring.
