Last week, we asked our readers which bar they consider the best bar in DC. While many participated in the poll, we did attempt to add new bars to the list as the requests came in.
To celebrate the large turn out, we’re going to raffle off a gift certificate to Marvins.
How do you enter? Great question. Leave a comment in our Facebook page! Not a fan yet? Click here to follow us! We’ll randomly chose someone from there as our winner!
We also asked some of our friends on Twitter what their favorite place is:

Best Bars in DC, voted by our readers!
With 288 votes, we give you our reader poll of BEST bars in the greater DC area!
#5 – Union Pub
37 votes
A favorite for hill staffers, Union Pub brings the masses out. Ether you’re ordering buckets of beers watching your favorite sports team, or you’re shmoozing it up like our S#!T Hill Staffer did. Bartenders, like Lance, will make you feel like a regular.
#4 – The Hamilton
38 votes
A new favorite of the ClotureClub team. This new Restaurant/Bar, we believe, will be the next best “secret” in DC. The atmosphere of rich mahogany, great food, and piano bar upstairs. You’ll quickly fall in love with this place. Also, tell the bartender Soup we sent ya!
#3 – Pour House
42 Votes
A truly bipartisan establishment, this Steeler’s nation bar has 3 unique bars: Top of the Hill, Pour house and the basement. I like to call it the Ski Chalet. They have something for everyone.
#2 – Capitol Lounge
46 Votes
In close second, Capitol Hill’s frequently visited bar, Cap Lounge, offers many unique specials. Known for their 25 cent wing nights and retro political posters, you’ll find this place warm and inviting. Their happy hour specials aren’t “half” bad either. Tell their bouncer Eugine or Chad we sent ya!
#1 – Marvins Restaurant
48 Votes
Near the U Street Metro, this good looking establishment won our Best Bar in DC by our readers. The creators of Marvin have combined the cafe society of Belgium, with the proud soul of Shaw. Dubbed 2012 Open Table Diners’ Choice and our winner of the Best Bar in DC by our readers, their bar, along with the rooftop, is definitely worth checking out.
