You all can rest now, and finally upgrade to the iOS 6! Google Maps is now available for the iPhone and iPad devices.
With the new features like turn-by-turn voice-guided driving directions, transit and walking directions, 2D and 3D maps, Street View and aerial imagery, and more.
Indoor and outdoor Street View data is included as well, so you can use the app to just browse maps of the globe, or see the inside of popular landmarks and other nearby destinations. You can also toggle 3D view and aerial/satellite photos. The app is built for iPhone, but works just fine blown up on an iPad too. Google Maps is free of course, and available now.

Google has decided that its users of their well-liked Google Maps service will begin becoming charged a fee for utilizing their service. Websites that are going embedding a Google Map of their location will be charged a fee for usage. This new Google Maps fee is going to hit mostly the bigger companies, particularly the Travel industry. I suspect that certain websites that are the heaviest users would be websites like TripAdvisor and Expedia.^’
