Leg Intern

The Association of the United States Navy (AUSN), the premier voice and advocate for our nation’s current and former Sailors, is looking for a full or part time unpaid Legislative Interns for the Spring or Summer for their offices in Old Town, Alexandria.

Candidates should have, or be pursuing, a degree in Political Science/Government Affairs/Communications.  Strong writing and personal skills a must!  An interest and passion for the United States Navy and Navy Reserve is highly desirable.

In addition to administrative tasks, i.e. answering phones and helping to schedule appointments, interns will monitor and write After Action Reports on Congressional Hearings of interest such as House and Senate Armed Services, Appropriations and Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearings.  Interns will also have the opportunity to attend meetings with Congressional Staff along with the Legislative Director as well as other meetings off of Capitol Hill.

The Legislative Director is also willing to oversee a research project of the intern’s interest if they are pursuing class credit for the internship.

3+ years experience using QuickTest Professional (QTP) and Business Process Testing (BPT) or equivalent testing tool(s) to create automated tests.

Oracle Database Administrator Lead to work with development teams, DBA teams and platform engineers to ensure that usage of Oracle is always optimal and that the available tools and technologies are identified and used appropriately.Provides installation, configuration, architecture planning, support, administration and general consulting to the development teams for the existing Oracle EPM (Hyperion) and SOA (Fusion) environments. Supports large OLAP environment and ensures availability of the data, consults with Development and Infrastructure teams with regards to the appropriate design of OLAP solutions as well as perform tuning and ensure adherence to OLAP data standards.
10+ years IT experience.
10+ years experience in the entire Oracle databases environment and architecture.
10+ years of experience with supporting Oracle RAC, ASM, and Sun Cluster on Linux and Solaris systems.
Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Essbase Server 11.x and other Hyperion applications such as Planning, Shared Services, Workspace, Strategic Finance, RMI and Financial reporting.

Senior Oracle Developer to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain the Oracle HCM applications and payroll interfaces in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing technical objects within the application in support of the business function.
5+ years IT experience.
5+ years progressively responsible Oracle ERP application implementation and support experience.
Proven experience in SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader.
Proficiency in Oracle HRMS E-Business Suite, including core HR, Advanced Benefits, and Self Service HR modules preferred.
Strong understanding of inbound/outbound interfaces to/from Oracle application.
Experience with HRMS integration with ADP or any other payroll preferred.
