A little friendly competition is never a bad thing, especially when it comes to food. Head over to Post Moderne Brasserie courtyard on Sunday from 3:30pm to 6:30PM to watch ten of the DC area’s best chefs face off in an epic summertime culinary battle – the ultimate burger. There are no rules and any ingredient is a go, making the possibilities of what these talented chefs could create endless! Tickets are $75 per person for all you can eat and drink, including getting to enjoy burgers from all ten chefs, a selection of local beers, Gordy’s Pickles and dessert from Small Comforts Bakeshop. Proceeds from the event go to support the amazing work of Brainfood, a non-profit youth development organization that uses food as a tool to build life skills for DC teens. Through culinary-focused programs, teens are taught about everything from where their food comes from, to nutrition and cooking, to self-reliance and leadership. Recently, the organization started up the Box Project, a summer program that gives Brainfood graduates the opportunity to use the skills that they learned in the kitchen to run a seasonal summer CSA operation. Get your tickets for Sunday’s Burger Battle here and for more information on Brainfood, check out their website http://www.brain-food.org.
